I'm Tania, a second year MBA student at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill's Kenan-Flagler Business School. I am passionate about technology and am seeking a 2012 full-time position in a product management / product development / marketing role at a tech-based startup, technology company or in the technology division of a company.
I am also very interested in marketing positions in general, whether it be at a media company, a consumer packaged goods company or elsewhere.
My background is in the technology industry. I hold a BSc. in Computer Science and I have worked in various technology-related roles such as Service Desk Analyst, MS Access Programmer, and Technical Writer and Tester, with my most recent role being a Web Software Developer at a small web startup in Toronto, Canada.
I am currently enjoying the business knowledge that I am gaining in business school and I truly appreciate the networking and other opportunities that arise from being in this environment. For instance, in the second semester of my first year, I worked on a marketing consulting project for Hanesbrands Inc. Then, for the summer of 2011, I interned with two companies:
- one startup (a social network)
- and a consulting firm
I worked with these two companies in marketing and business development/strategy roles. I also helped out another company (an online consumer packaged goods startup) with their social media efforts.
My Resume (Click button to view but please contact me for the latest version)
I am seeking a full-time position in product management / product development / marketing, preferably at a tech-based startup, technology company or in the technology (or online marketing) division of a company. I am also passionate about certain consumer packaged goods companies. You should hire me because I have:
- Excellent technical knowledge
- A drive to succeed
- Experience working in technology companies
- Business education
- A very strong interest in product development and marketing
My focus is now on leading and managing and dealing more with the business side of a company, rather than on directly programming. So I imagine that over time, this area of my site will either be removed or will evolve from a portfolio section showcasing my simple side projects to another page with pretty images. In the meantime though, you may click on an image below for more information and please feel free to contact me about possible side projects.
